Purpose
This degree is designed to prepare students to complete numerous responsibilities associated with coaching individuals in team and/or individual sport settings for the purpose of mission.

Nature
The program of study leading to the Doctor of Sports Mission degree is an advanced professional degree in preparation for leadership roles in cross-cultural ministries through sports.

Specialization
The area of specialization places emphasis on the academic areas of management and psychology as applied to Sports Coaching.

Admission Requirements
For admission of the Doctor of Sports Mission, candidates should have advanced knowledge related with sports mission.

Required documents and fee

  1. Application Form I and II: an application is valid for one year.
  2. Personal Statement (in 250 words or more) describing reasons for wanting to study with confession of faith.
  3. Resume
  4. Official transcripts of all academic work undertaken since graduation from high school. A final official transcript indicating that M.A. degree or its equivalent has been granted should be submitted.
  5. Application Fee ($50)

Degree Requirements
Applicants must have a grade average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 or its equivalent in their M.A. course of studies. This program requires 54 hours of course credit inclusive of the dissertation or project thesis.

Plans of Study
Doctor of Sports Mission program requires 54 credits to graduate. Each student is encouraged to complete two-year recommended programs of study.
