Purpose
The purpose of this degree program is to equip one for a higher level of competence in the practice of ministry. The Doctor of Ministry degree program is designed to serve the need of ministers for an experience of continuing education which renews the personal life of faith, further develops professional competence and stimulates continued growth in Biblical and theological foundations for ministry.

Nature
The program of studies leading to the Doctor of Ministry degree is designed for qualified men and women who are engaged in pastoral and related ministries. The candidates are challenged to develop their ministerial skills and to refine and articulate a Biblical theology of ministry while in a setting of ministry.

Admission Requirements
Admission to the Doctor of Ministry Program is on the basis of high competence in theology and ministry, as well as motivation to do research in a recognized area of ministry. Competence in theology may be demonstrated in having completed a Master of Divinity degree with a balanced curriculum, including disciplines in Biblical studies.


Required documents and fee

•  Application Form I and II: an application is valid for one year.
•  Personal Statement (in 250 words or more) describing reasons for wanting to study with confession of faith.
•  Resume
•  Official transcripts of all academic work undertaken since graduation from high school. A final official transcript indicating that M.Div. or its equivalent has been granted should be submitted.
•  Application Fee ($50)


Degree Requirements
The Doctor of Ministry program requires 54 hours of course credit comprising of the doctoral field project.

Specialization
Candidates will choose their area of specialization and will do their Doctoral Project within that area. In this project they may focus on such areas of ministry as the following: Christian Education, Christian Development and Administration, Pastoral Counseling, and Urban Missions.
