The purpose of the study for the degree of Doctor of Christian Education is to prepare student for top-level leadership in Christian education for seminaries, publishing agencies, social service agencies, and denominational organizations.

The program of study leading to the Doctor of Christian Education is designed for qualified men and women who are engaged in teaching related ministries. Leaders in the field of education are seen as those who assume a facilitating role in accomplishing the goals and objectives of an education system whether it be as a superintendent, principal, curriculum director, instructional supervisor, or university administrator.

The Doctor of Christian Education Program requires 54 hours of work beyond the M. Div., M.C.E., or equivalent. This program requires 54 hours of course credit inclusive of the dissertation or project thesis.
