History and Mission

Covenant University (C.U.) has been founded by Dr. David K. Kim of Immanuel Faith Church which is a non-profit Christian church incorporated since 1993 in California, U.S.A, as he was urged by God’s calling for educational ministry. C.U. was developed for education and training on a local and international basis and became a growing Christian university with eight school departments. C.U. was incorporated according to the United State’s California Education Code (CEC) 94739(b)(6) under Federal Identification No. 33-0814453 and School Code 1924981. C.U. offers bachelor’s and master’s and doctor’s degrees to the student who meets graduation requirements for the degree program. C.U. is God’s instrument to be a part of fulfilling the unfulfilled task of the Great Commission by equipping missional servant leaders in this 21st century.
